It is hard to believe that June is almost over already. It was an odd month for me - for a variety of reasons, I just felt off and had low energy. But summer is now here and I am on vacation for the next week and I have carefully planned out my week: sleep, eat, exercise and paint. And definitely not think about work.
I am now at that age where it is easy to compare myself to a car no longer under warranty - regular check- ups and maintenance are now required to ensure that the joints and alignment are in good shape; allowing me to go about my daily tasks.
ith the warmer days of May finally here, I thought I would talk to you about one of my latest paintings, Horizon. It is interesting to see how the creative process changes from one painting to the next.
As I was brainstorming about this blog entry, I was thinking about my creative process and the approach that I use when I paint. This idea became even more tangible when I learned earlier today that the team responsible for the National Public Service Week, that is held every June, wants me to hold a potential paint night for the staff in my Branch. This is making it very real!
Did my hippo get your attention? Cute isn’t she. How is this related to my creative process you dare ask? Today’s blog is a bit different in that I am covering a number of topics, starting with my new collaboration with the LAB. And yes, there is a link to hippos!
